Apprentice Bartender - Bellagio

Are you passionate about crafting exquisite cocktails in a luxurious setting? Bellagio is seeking talented individuals to join our team as an Apprentice Bartender! THE JOB:

As an Apprentice Bartender, you will be responsible for assisting the bartender and maintain the appearance of the bar. In this role you will work at various bars around the property and will be expected to perform all responsibilities at each location. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Assist the bartender with preparation of drinks, mixes, and garnishes.

  • Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar area.

  • Maintain sufficient stock of all items and products in designated work areas.

  • Ensure proper set up, labeling, stocking and delivery of alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice.

  • Clean equipment, tools, supplies, polish glassware and ensure equipment is in working order.

  • Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.

  • Promote and maintain the highest level of service to all guests while staying alert to their needs and respond effectively to guest inquiries.

  • Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Experience in a comparable position previously.

  • Experience working in a high-volume setting.

  • Prior involvement in fine dining establishments.

  • Familiarity with premium cocktails, wines, and spirits.

  • Ability to accommodate a flexible part-time/on-call schedule, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time hours as required by business needs.

  • Comfortable with working in various locations on property.

  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
