Assistant Vice President, Asset Servicing Middle Office OTC Derivatives Valuation

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Assistant Vice President, Asset Servicing (OTC Derivatives Valuation). This role is located in Lake Mary, FL, and is a hybrid role.

Team Overview:

The OTC Derivatives Lifecycle and Valuations team, an essential component of BNY's Asset Servicing Division, offers expert lifecycle, valuations, pricing, and analytics for OTC Derivatives to our diverse and prestigious clientele.

This position is designed for a professional who takes ownership of their work, drives process improvements, and thrives on the accuracy and precision of detailed analytical tasks.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Leadership in Execution: Oversee and ensure the flawless execution of daily tasks associated with the lifecycle, valuation, analysis, and servicing of OTC Derivatives, reinforcing the teams commitment to precision and reliability.
  • Operational Management: Act as the operational linchpin, expertly managing the execution of activities related to OTC Derivatives within the designated accounting systems and ensuring alignment with our high standards and practices.
  • Risk and Control Ownership: Identify and mitigate risks by maintaining and refining control frameworks, ensuring our operations remain compliant and secure.
  • Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leading to marginal yet meaningful enhancements in our processes daily, thereby increasing efficiency and adding value to our client services.
  • Client Engagement: Facilitate the onboarding of new clients and foster existing relationships, ensuring queries are handled with expertise and a client-centric approach.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics, with a Masters degree or CFA being advantageous.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in OTC Derivatives or complex securities valuations, with a clear understanding of the technical and functional aspects of the role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Access, and VBA.
  • Experience with process automation tools and analytics platforms such as PowerBI and Alteryx is highly desirable.
  • A dynamic mid-level manager with a proven track record in the financial services industry, specifically within OTC Derivatives.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to bridge senior leadership directives and analyst-level execution.
  • An individual who embodies ownership of their responsibilities and is motivated by the pursuit of operational excellence.
