Duration through Academic Year: 2024-25 Application Window Open date: March 11, 2024 Most recent review date: Monday, Mar 25, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Mar 3, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The School of Engineering anticipates hiring full and part-time lecturers positions to teach the following courses in Civil & Environmental Engineering for AY 2024-2025: ENVE 20 Introduction to Environmental Science & Technology See catalog for course descriptions: In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor is responsible for creating a syllabus, holding regular posted office hours (minimum 2 hours/week), and evaluating student work and exams, and calculating and posting grades. The instructor may also be required to hold discussion sections or supervise a graduate student teaching assistant, reader, or remedial tutor. This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and appropriate collective bargaining agreement. See the following url for additional information: Appointments for AY 2024/2025 and/or Fall 2024 semester are reviewed in April, and for Spring 2025 semester are reviewed in October. Advanced degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering or related field and experience teaching at the college or university level are required. Must be able to provide a record of excellence in teaching that demonstrates broad experience working with students of different abilities, ethnic backgrounds, and educational attainment.
