Description

The Test Analysis Engineer is test minded and technical. Individual must be comfortable with manual testing methodologies and the ability to write clear, concise test plans from requirements. Incumbent must have work experience/knowledge of Java, Groovy and/or other development languages. Ability to write, test and debug code. Experience with test automation. Work experience with industry-standard functional testing tools. Experience with or able to learn CAT. Knowledge of pipeline development and management. Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team/collaborative environment. Previous mentorship and/or experience leading project efforts preferred. Working knowledge of SDLC and agile processes. Strong technical, analysis and communications skills.

Job Responsibilities



  • Create, execute, and maintain test automation
  • Create reusable testing data sets, sites, and infrastructure
  • Create, plan, analyze, update, and execute test strategy for test cases, projects, regressions, or automated testing
  • Identify, record, analyze, and track defects encountered during testing
  • Provide detailed information for replication of discovered application issues
  • Participate in agile planning, estimation, and communication
  • Conduct war room and user group testing with internal and external testers
  • Assist and promote improved best practices, tooling, technology, and test solutions throughout the SDLC
  • Review, analyze, and test software requirements, use cases, user stories, and designs according to test solutions best practices
  • Create tests, including: identifying pre-conditions, data setup, assumptions, document test steps and expected results
  • Provide feedback to analysts, developers, and project managers on requirements, test solution, and project execution
  • Create and maintain test documentation
  • Mentor test professionals as needed
  • Access Infinite Campus production customer data and production data in public test adhering to the practices and procedures outlined in the master security guidelines
  • Other related duties as assigned


Desired Background



  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field; OR three years software development experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with technologies such as Java, Javascript/HTML/XML, Groovy and SQL
  • Expertise with industry-standard functional testing tools (Selenium, Rational, Compuware, etc)
