The Resident Director (RD) is a full-time, 12-month, live-in position and serves as a member of the Residence Life Professional team. The RD is responsible for resident orientation to community living; resident counseling; policy enforcement and adjudication; day and night on-site crisis response; student programming; student staff recruitment, selection, training and evaluation; housing management, and special projects. The RD provides a variety of support services to the residential students and assists with the management of the housing program. The residential facilities include residence halls, apartments, and family housing.

Please Note: This is a four (4) year contract appointment with the possibility to be extended for one (1) additional year for a maximum total of five (5) years. Additionally, this position has multiple openings.

The salary range for the Resident Director position is $54,200 - $93,200 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $55,000 annually. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California Vaccination Program Policy.
