The Senior System Engineer will provide HW and SW engineering technical support to the Ground Vehicle Division and provide expert technical advice and apply technical expertise in Ground Vehicle (manned and unmanned) lifecycle management, integration of advanced engineering technologies, technology planning and management. Provides expert technical advice to DCS engineers and Army customers and manages major projects for the design, development, integration, testing, sustainment and enhancement for a variety of prototype and legacy Army ground vehicle systems. Customer interactions include working directly with customers in broad areas of strategic planning as well as program management and execution.

Essential Job Functions:

Work in a team environment with our Army customer and DCS engineers on a combined project team of government and contract employees located in many different locations. Apply Subject Matter Expertise in the ground vehicle domain for architecture, standards and requirements development, technology planning and management (strategy, roadmaps, operations, and implementation) for a variety of combat vehicle platforms and subsystems. Coordinate with CCDC Research & Technology Integration Groups, PEO and external Army organizations as part of the architecture and technology advancement to support legacy and new vehicle programs for the integration and evaluation of new technologies.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 15 years of experience Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering or Master's degree in the above with 12 years of experience.

Experience in Large Scale Software System development for ground combat systems.

Experience in project management, execution, strategy development, risk mitigation and problem solving.

Experience working with interdisciplinary teams, organizations and industry to advance architectures and technologies solutions in the areas of Army ground and autonomous vehicle solutions.

Critically examine systems architectures to guide their development across ground vehicle domains.

Familiar with military C4ISR equipment integration for Ground Combat Vehicle Platforms.

Present advanced concepts and architectures for system enhancements and improvements.

Experience with Systems Engineering and Software Engineering development processes.

Familiar with military communications equipment for Ground Combat Vehicle Platforms.

Understanding of standards including: MIL-810, MIL-1275, J1939, RTSP, RTP, UDP, TCP, H.264, etc.

Ability to travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers (10% Travel).

Desired Skills:

Experience in Systems Engineering and Integration for Ground Combat/Military Systems.

Experience with SysML and the development and review of system models.

Support the development of concept studies, trade-off analyses during the research and development phase of the program related to C4ISR HW and SW systems, subsystems and components.

Experience with the development and review of program milestone documentation (SEMP, TEMP, ISP, SSS, SSDD).

Experience coordinating with Army organizations to facilitate strategic relationships, collaborate with high-performance teams, lead business initiatives, and support program goals and objectives.

Participate in systems technical reviews (IDR, PDR and CDR) and review technical documents generated by the government and OEM's (system architecture diagrams, requirements, and performance specifications).

Support developmental testing activities at ARMY proving grounds (APG, EPG and YPG) that will include monitoring and witnessing of developmental testing activities.
