The Senior Director of Permanent Supportive Housing (SDPSH) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and consistency of operations and services across the portfolio. As a key partner to the Chief Supportive Housing Officer, the SDPSH leads the implementation of a new building model, providing vision and leadership to onsite Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) teams. In addition to supporting the effective implementation of policies and programmatic changes, the incumbent is instrumental in the overall development, integration, and implementation of PSH programs. This regular, full-time position is crucial for setting high standards in program delivery, tenant services, program success, and fiscal management aligned with Plymouth's core values.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE DOING IN THIS ROLE AT PLYMOUTH HOUSING

  • Spearhead the implementation of strategic initiatives within the Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) program. This involves developing comprehensive plans and strategies to enhance program effectiveness and align with Plymouth Housing's mission and values.
  • Provide visionary leadership to onsite PSH teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. This includes mentoring and coaching team members, empowering them to excel in their roles and contribute to the overall success of the program.
  • Play a key role in shaping policies and programs within the PSH program. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, develop innovative solutions, and implement changes to enhance service delivery and outcomes for residents.
  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of PSH programs through ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance processes. This involves collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to address any challenges or gaps.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with community stakeholders, including local government agencies, service providers, and advocacy organizations. Collaborate with these stakeholders to coordinate services, leverage resources, and advocate for policies and initiatives that support the needs of PSH residents.
  • Oversee the financial management of the PSH program, including developing and managing budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. Make strategic decisions to optimize resource allocation and maximize program impact.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and respond effectively to crises within the PSH program. This includes developing crisis response plans, providing training to staff on crisis intervention techniques, and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
  • Identify opportunities for program expansion and innovation to meet the evolving needs of PSH residents. Stay informed about best practices, emerging trends, and evidence-based interventions in the field of supportive housing and integrate these insights into program planning and implementation.
  • Advocate for policies and initiatives that support the rights and well-being of individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability. Raise public awareness about the importance of supportive housing and the impact of homelessness on individuals and communities.
  • Stay abreast of developments in the field of supportive housing, leadership, and nonprofit management through ongoing learning and professional development opportunities. Continuously strive to enhance knowledge, skills, and competencies to effectively lead and manage the PSH program.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Sciences or related field or a combination of equivalent experience or relevant work experience.
  • Master's Degree in Human Services or related field is desired.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience, demonstrating familiarity and practical expertise in delivering permanent supportive housing and services to diverse individuals, including low-income residents, people experiencing homelessness, those with disabilities, and individuals from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
  • Minimum four (4) years supervisory and management experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience demonstrating expertise in safety and crisis intervention strategies, with a commitment to ensuring a secure and supportive environment for both staff and tenants.

SALARY

$117,978 to $132,891
