Senior Director of IT and Business Systems Integration

The Senior Director of IT and Business Systems Integration will run IT as a business. In this role, you will develop a more holistic technical and functional roadmap for the IT portfolio and deliver enhancements through technical teams to allow functional users to focus on more value-add activities. This will reduce duplicative or divergent efforts across platforms and streamline end to end processes with less spreadsheets and better data quality.

This is a US based remote role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to integrate and streamline various IT systems used within the organization's IT department
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and align system integration efforts with organizational goals and objectives
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new IT systems that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance
• Manage a team of system administrators, analysts, and developers responsible for maintaining existing systems and implementing new functionalities
• Ensure seamless integration between different IT systems to enable efficient data flow, reporting capabilities, and process automation
• Establish standardized processes for data governance, security protocols, change management procedures, and system documentation
• Monitor system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement or optimization; proactively address any issues or bottlenecks that may arise
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project plans for system upgrades, migrations, or enhancements; ensure timely delivery within budgetary constraints
• Provide leadership in vendor relationship management; negotiate contracts, manage service level agreements (SLAs), evaluate vendor performance against agreed-upon metrics
• Stay informed about industry best practices related to IT systems integration; assess emerging technologies relevant to the organization's need

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 8 years of experience in managing complex IT systems within an enterprise environment; experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical industry is a plus
• Proven track record in leading successful implementation projects involving multiple IT systems such as financial management tools, service desk applications, project/portfolio management solutions
• Strong understanding of system integration methodologies including APIs, ETL processes, data mapping/transformation techniques
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage teams across multiple locations or departments
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization; strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to lead, manage, & support multiple projects with diverse scope in a cross-functional environment
• Experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation
• Proven ability to make connections/understand the relationships between different ideas or experiences
• Ability to effectively multi-task and demonstrate initiative to keep driving results
