  • Salary Range: $24.51 - $30.64 per hour


The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Performs as required by job order or supervisor's direction all groundskeeping functions as specified by grounds foreman or manager.

Responsibilities



  • Safely operates all types of mechanical equipment.
  • Gardening and small power tools.
  • Capable of proper pruning and cultivation work of trees, ornamentals and turf.
  • Must be experienced in the care of maintenance of landscapes.
  • Must be capable of following written and verbal instructions.
  • Maintains assigned equipment in good conditions and responsible for safe operation, security, and cleanliness of equipment while in possession, during seasons of inclement weather, will be required to perform certain indoor tasks as assigned by supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Minimum one year as Groundskeeper or equivalent.
  • Candidates must be fit to work outdoors in all weather.
  • Must be able to perform manual labor, lifting and climbing assignments.
  • Must be available for snow removal on a seven day per week, 24-hour per day basis.
  • Must maintain telephone contact for snow emergency notification.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Previous employment at a tennis facility is preferred.
