We are seeking a Summer Research Intern with our Validity and Efficacy Research team. Location: Candidates can be in-person in Iowa City, IA or remote for the 10-week internship. Duration: The internship is scheduled to run from Monday June 3, 2024 to Friday August 9, 2024, but can be flexible for the right candidate. For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of $23.00. The position is not incentive nor benefits eligible. The summer research intern will work with Validity and Efficacy Research team members, within the Academic Knowledge Measurement (AKM) group. Validity and Efficacy Research specializes in investigating and documenting the value ofACT productsby researchingthe appropriateness of their proposed uses as well as their effectiveness inimproving intendedlearner outcomes. The larger AKM team at ACT consists of researchers in psychometrics, validity and efficacy, and content development supporting the ACT and PreACT suite of assessments. This position is for someone looking to gain applied research experience working with senior validity and efficacy researchers. In addition to gaining experience by working with current Validity and Efficacy Research team members to create and refine assessments and learning materials, candidates will have the opportunity to design and conduct original research studies. Successful candidates will be matched to research studies in their field of study that matches their research interests. Possible research studies for Summer 2024 include, but are not limited to:
Recreating and/or reconceptualizing validity and efficacy studies in support of ACT's suite of assessments
