Project Manager - Global Team Sports

Through on-demand customization, we outfit athletes across genders and sports. We create digital experiences and services catered to the specific needs of teams and retail partners. Connecting teams to their uniform is just the first step, as we seek to drive growth across multiple sports categories with products for an athlete's entire kit bag.

As a Project Manager in adidas Global Brands - Global Team Sports, your role is to support the implementation and rollout of digital tools that will reshape the future of team sports at adidas. Your objective is to apply best in class project and change management to deliver quality projects within the boundaries of urgency, ambiguity, cost & quality while focusing on our users' expectations and requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Delivery



  • Lead the implementation of mid-scale projects enabling successful delivery of project milestones
  • Agree project approach with stakeholders, prepare realistic plans (including quality, risk, and communications plans) and track activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate
  • Provide regular status updates to project business owners and Senior Management
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks to the success of the project
  • Support end to end testing and rollout of global digital capabilities to markets



Communications & Change Management



  • Act as the key contact person for market stakeholders distributed globally
  • Partner with internal GTS teams (Operations, Product Owners, Product Offer, Tech) to understand communications needs
  • Implement a communication strategy to seed information to global markets, key stakeholders and senior management
  • Manage communication channels such as quarterly meetings with markets, bi-weekly newsletters, Sharepoint, and Viva Engage
  • Drive change management by preparing training materials and process documentation, distributing materials and provide additional support for stakeholders through guided demos
  • Manage relationships with agencies and external communications partners to develop collateral and sales toolkits (if required)
  • Conduct quarterly surveys with market stakeholders to gauge user satisfaction

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES




  • Deep knowledge of Project Management principles and methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban, Hybrid & Waterfall
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and facilitation skills (small and large groups) especially when interacting with different levels of business
  • Strong MS-Office skills (PowerPoint, Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Familiarity with Viva Engage, SharePoint, Smartsheet (or other project management software), Mailchimp (or other email marketing platform)
  • Ability to mediate and bring cross-functional stakeholders with different objectives to agree on a consensus
  • Analytical mindset, innovative thinker, and collaborator
  • High degree of self-management and drive
  • Understanding of structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Aptitude or passion for using digital tools to solve business problems
  • Passion for and knowledge of team sports and customization a plus



REQUISITE EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION




  • Minimum 3 years' experience in global project management preferably in digital and/or apparel companies
  • Four-year college or university degree with focus on Business Administration or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PMP/PMI certified preferred but not required

  • We officially returned to office in a hybrid work environment, working 3 days in office and 2 days remote. The working location of this position is Portland, OR. There is no relocation support available for this position.
