This defined retirement benefit requires a 12.29% monthly contribution rate and includes a 100% employer match on Day 1 Learn more at Work With Us \| Maricopa County, AZ We recognize your time is valuable, so please apply if you meet the following required qualifications: Two years of behavioral health experience post-master's degree Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited program and completion of clinical training hours necessary to achieve independent licensure A valid, unrestricted license issued by the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), OR Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) We Also Value Broad-based work experience with the seriously mentally ill (SMI), substance abuse, direct mental health services, and crisis work Job Contributions Coordinate regarding psychosocial treatment issues related to patient care Presents relevant findings that pertain to mental status and patient risk in an acute environment Prepare comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments, mental status exams, treatment plans, and other clinical reports Provide individual treatment and crisis intervention services Complete and coordinate Mental Health Petitions with community providers and testify in court Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational group treatment Conduct short-term, solution-focused therapy with the use of treatment plans, goals, and objectives Develop treatment plans for patients with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders Maintain familiarity with mental health diagnoses that correspond to ICD-9DM and DSM-IV TR (DSM 5) manuals Coordinate treatment with MSCO, courts, and community providers for continuity of care Working Conditions Ability to work inside a jail environment, consisting of working in close proximity to inmates and other staff and being indoors in a confined area Selection Procedure Only the most qualified candidates will be considered Consideration will only be given to candidates who submit online applications Candidates will be contacted primarily through email and their Workday online application profile Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive Maricopa County is an equal opportunity employer.
