The American Psychiatric Association Foundation's (APAF) Center for Workplace Mental Health is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Intern who is passionate about workplace mental health and well-being, and is eager to gain real world experience working for a non-profit organization. The Center Intern will support day-to-day activities and projects for the APAF. Responsibilities will include, reviewing and analying research, and helping create new resources focused on helping employers support the mental health and well-being of their employees and their families.

The Center for Workplace Mental Health Intern will work independently and with the APAF Center team to fulfill program and its related initiatives' goals.

Qualifications


  • Must be enrolled in college or graduate school.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Be a self-starter willing to research topics, synthesize information and make recommendations.
  • Ability to multitask and produce high-quality work by a deadline.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Primarily Word & PowerPoint).
  • Interest in workplace mental health issues.


Applicants must be willing to commit to 20 - 40 hours per week for a 2-month internship period. The Center for Workplace Mental Health Intern will be paid between $20-25 an hour.
