The Planning & Procurement Specialist will work to create a production plan, understand capacity planning, sequential planning and level loading to minimize change over's, downtime, and over time. In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to an organization committed to and focused on improving production machine uptime through continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma and other problem solving techniques.

Job Responsibilities:

* Ability to understand and utilize SAP MRP to its fullest extent.
* Ability to understand elements within MRP master data that drive demand
* Ability to place PO's, understand ordering trends and place orders accordingly
* Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet and exceed inventory targets and turns, as well as seek opportunities to reduce inventory through various techniques such as updating lot sizing, in-stock vs. MTO analysis, delivery schedule adjustments, changes in Sourcing methods, consignment opportunities etc.
* Full understanding of safety stock formulas and impacts on different ways of calculating.
* Ability to create a production plan, understand capacity planning, sequential planning and level loading to minimize change over's, down time, over time. Communicate when a gap exists between demand vs. capacity and lead the discussion/solution with manufacturing to come up with creative scheduling techniques including flex crewing and adjusting of resources to improve overall efficiency.
* Understand Production Attainment, what drives production attainment, and working with manufacturing to optimize scheduling to the fullest extent to ensure capacity is maximized and production orders are closed out on-time.
* Ability to identify potential part shortages, work with vendors to prevent part shortages, understand vendor capacity, constraints, and when to properly raise an orange card to create awareness of potential part shortages.
* Address and lead any potential part shortages through orange card process to prevent red cards and missed customer shipments. Includes identifying part shortages in a timely manner, organizing and presenting data, and working with the necessary groups to resolve orange card situations.
* Identify root cause of late lines and implement corrective action to prevent forward to ensure fill rate targets are achieved and sustained.
* Evaluate slow moving items and work with appropriate groups to propose clean-up, changing of status, lot size adjustments, stock to non-stock etc.
* Track on-time supplier delivery performance.

Job Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management or similar (or relevant experience consistent with required skills and abilities).
* Minimum 3-5 years with Planning & Procurement.
* APICS certification a plus.
* Capacity Planning application
* Expert knowledge of SAP and Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
* Advanced Microsoft office skills, especially excel with the ability to manipulate data quickly and easily using advanced functions.
* Ability to apply LEAN concepts and good understanding of Pull systems.
* Excellent communication and follow-up skills both internally and externally within all levels of the business.

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Salary Range : $55,000.00 - $65,000.00
