Data Analyst Intern

We are seeking a forward looking individual to join our effort to help our company achieve efficiency through AI. We have a position open for a Data Analyst Intern with data Analysis, data Science and web development knowledge to work on our key AI initiatives.

Position Overview:

A motivated Data Analyst Intern with a solid understanding of data science principles and web development skills to join our dynamic team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to apply your analytical skills to real-world data, contribute to projects that drive business insights, and gain valuable experience in data analysis and web development. You will have the chance to integrate AI-driven functionalities seamlessly into web applications, enhancing user experiences with interactive data visualizations and predictive features. Your contributions coupled with our top tools/services on our Data Platforms running the Data warehouse, Datalake, Data Engineering and AI platforms will play a pivotal role in advancing our organization's capabilities in harnessing the power of data.

Ideal candidate will be a junior/senior level college student in the SF Bay area and graduating between 12/2024 - 2026. (MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH TYPESCRIPT) You will work out of our Redwood City office.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure data integrity and quality.

Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and insights within the data.

Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical techniques to extract meaningful information.

Data Visualization:

Create visually compelling dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate findings effectively.

Utilize tools like Power BI to present insights in a clear and understandable manner.

Statistical Analysis:

Apply statistical methods and hypothesis testing to analyze data and validate findings.

Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to evaluate the impact of changes and make data-driven recommendations.

Web Development:

Assist in developing and maintaining web-based data applications and interactive visualizations.

Collaborate with the development team to integrate data-driven features and functionality into web platforms.

Utilize Typescript and React framework to enhance user experience and interactivity.

Documentation and Reporting:

Document process, analysis, methodologies, findings, and recommendations in clear and concise reports.

Qualifications:



  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
  • Extensive experience w/Typescript MUST HAVE
  • Proficiency in languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI
  • Understanding of web development concepts and experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS).
  • Knowledge of data manipulation and analysis libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies and techniques in data analysis and web development.
  • Preferred junior or senior level college student, with an expected graduation of 2025 or later. Ideally you will reside in the SF Bay area as you will work from our Redwood City CA office.
  • This is a 12 week internship starting at the end of May or first of June 2024.
