Sr. Solution Engineer - Growth Partnerships

Summary

The Sr. Solution Engineer - Growth Partnerships will play an important role in the ongoing refinement of our partner ecosystem for early stage solutions at Workiva, including our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting solution. The Growth Solutions Partnerships team at Workiva identifies new strategic alliance needs (both advisory firms and technology partners) and engages with those partners to evaluate strategic fit. To support those efforts, this role communicates Workiva's value proposition and demonstrates the platform to potential new partners. This Sr. Solution Engineering role is heavily partner-facing and requires both technical acumen, as well as strong interpersonal skills to support cooperative efforts, both internally and externally.

What You'll Do:

  • Execute pre-sales framework to engage customers, prospects, and partners via phone, web, or onsite meetings, drive the discovery process, and identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs

  • Ensure customer success by working with Workiva Client Services team for smooth on-boarding and long term success

  • Demonstrate knowledge across multiple domain areas developing working knowledge of industries, departments, and use cases where Workiva can have an impact

  • Assist in developing new use-cases or by using existing templates providing proof of our solution's impact and value proposition

  • Conduct process assessments with customers, build Proof of Concepts to validate requirements, build and present partner specific business cases

  • May begin to deliver cross-domain coaching, training, or mentoring peers

  • Work with Sales, Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping, and Customer Success to achieve team and company goals

  • Assist sales in developing account plans in support of Workiva strategies and objectives

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a Master's degree; or 2 years and a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with partner organizations and alliances

  • Experience engaging with and presenting to business or IT managers and executives

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement

  • Experience building processes from the ground up, including design, proposal, and cross-functional alignment

  • Demonstrates proactive collaboration and feedback to product management teams to capture new customer requirements and enhancements, may require guidance as needed

  • Ability to solve problems and articulate solutions to business problems with strong communication and presentation skills

  • Hands on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures preferred

  • Experience with high level technical aspects of connectivity and integration (API)

  • Prior experience working with ESG, CSR, Energy, Carbon Accounting, EHS, or Financial Reporting technology, such as the Workiva platform, would be a plus

  • Capability to gather business needs and present a value based, compelling software demonstration is preferred

Travel Requirement

  • Up to 25% Travel

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office.

How You'll Be Rewarded

Salary range in the US: $101,000.00 - $172,000.00

Eligible for commission based on sales performance

Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire

401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package
