ITC Federal, a mid-sized government contractor located in Fairfax, Virginia is actively seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO). ITC Federal is at the forefront of substantial growth and strategic evolution and is searching for the right leader to help with our transformation. In partnership and under the guidance of our visionary CEO, this COO will bring a tactical and operational depth to the team. This role demands a leader who excels in managing complex operational challenges, is proficient in navigating conflicts with a collaborative spirit, and can preserve and nurture our company's positive culture using expert change-management skills as the organization transforms.

The COO's primary responsibilities include overseeing our daily operations and service delivery, ensuring excellence and efficiency in all projects. You will spearhead the strategic transition from small business set-aside contracts to competitive full and open contract pursuits. A pivotal aspect of this role involves leading the company through a minority private equity transaction to secure growth capital, and orchestrating strategic acquisitions that align with our ambitious expansion goals. We are particularly interested in candidates who have successfully scaled a company from small to large, with extensive experience in private equity, acquisitions, and a solid background in homeland security, law enforcement, and adjacent federal markets. Additionally, experience providing information technology services, particularly in DevSecOps cloud solutions, enterprise IT, and federal financial system services, is highly desirable.

Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in the specified areas of expertise, demonstrating the ability to lead a company through growth phases, with a keen understanding of the nuances of the homeland security and federal IT services sectors. Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field; Masters Degree and/or MBA, preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles, with a focus on government contracting and technology
  • Proven track record of driving business growth, profitability and operational excellence
  • Strong understanding of government contracting regulations, processes and customer needs
  • Excellent manager able to build infrastructure and manage a diverse group of senior business leaders
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives
  • Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients and stakeholders.
