Overview

The Cloud Systems Architect will be responsible for architecting and building major Cloud projects that have high impact while maintaining minimal down time. The Cloud Systems Architect will ensure the design and configuration of our enterprise systems are secure, meet all required CIS standards, best practices, and approved levels of compliance.

Salary Range: $94,400 - $142,900

What You'll Do

  • Full life-cycle systems engineering: design, configuration, implementation, and management
  • Maintain and architect CIS' Cloud infrastructure and ensure adherence to foundational best practices and compliance standards
  • Work with teams in an agile environment to design, develop, and test solutions using cloud technologies
  • Architect and implement cloud-based solutions in AWS and Azure
  • Architect and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solutions
  • Automate and script systems and cloud infrastructure
  • Collaborate with Software Development teams and Information Security Office (ISO) to ensure corporate policies and security requirements are implemented and followed for all cloud services
  • Prevent, detect, and resolve security threats to the organization
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Mentor and set the example for team members to foster a mindset of continuous improvement, professional development, and organizational engagement
  • Build the infrastructure required for monitoring and observability of a SaaS platform deployed on the cloud
  • Identify and drive improvements in infrastructure and system reliability, performance, monitoring, and overall stability of CIS systems
  • Collaborate with Product Owners on requirement definitions, process, and workflow design as well as testing, acceptance, and identifying and resolving issues
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned


What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field*
  • 5+ years' hand on experience in implementing, deploying, and managing systems and applications in cloud service providers (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • 5+ years' experience in architecting scalable cloud solutions including compute, storage, databases, and networking
  • 3+ years' experience using Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools to manage cloud environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • 2+ years' managing Sitecore environments
  • AWS or other cloud based technical certifications
  • Experience working with Security Best Practices (CIS, DISA, PCI)
  • Experience working with security auditing and alerting tools (Nessus, Site24, Stacklet)
  • Project management and demonstrable troubleshooting and debugging ability

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate's degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.
