POSITION SUMMARY



The Organic Growth & SEO team seeks a team member to analyze various forms of data and help inform decisions and strategies. This role will support a wide range of ongoing ecommerce marketing projects focused on Search Engine Optimization goals. The Analyst is responsible for extensive keyword research and report building in various software platforms like Ahrefs, Google Search Console, BrightEdge, Google Looker Studio (Tableau, MS Power BI), and Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years' experience in ecommerce SEO and possess a range of knowledge in sub-specialties from content development to technical reviews/audits, to reporting. He or she will work closely with a team of analysts in complex problem-solving projects with clear action-oriented reporting deliverables.

CORE FUNCTIONS

* Analysis and Reporting:

o Utilizing core SEO tools such as BrightEdge, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush and others to help deliver regular reporting for the channel. Will (1) build business cases for new SEO projects, and (2) prove efficacy of previous and ongoing SEO projects.

* Keyword Research:

o Delving deep into BrightEdge, ahrefs, Google Search Console and Google Ads to ensure proper tracking of the right search engine rankings.

o Building and refining tracked keywords in database, updating preferred landing pages, and adding new/relevant groups to projects.

* Project Coordination:

o Helping execute the timely and accurate progression of tactical-level work tied to SEO projects. This will mean coordinating, and acting on, website page-building, content-development, site inspection, QA of dev releases with SEO objectives, and reporting on results.

* Website Optimizations:

o Reviewing on-page SEO elements to maximize web page and site-architecture performance.

o Familiarity with HTML and JS to be able to identify potential areas of concern, while aiding in the ongoing audits of key profit-centers throughout the Truck Hero family of websites.

* Cross-functionality:

o Proven capability to work with other teams to disseminate, and act-on, shared business information throughout corporate organizational structure. Working closely with the paid media teams to share research data such as Google Ads, Business Intelligence, and inventory data.

* Copyediting and content research:

o Helping to determine new content to be developed for on-page SEO initiatives. Reviewing and copyediting content deliverables from writers.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

* Bachelor's degree required or equivalent relevant experience is required.

* 2-4 years SEO Analyst experience required.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

* Highly proficient in: MS Office, e-commerce web marketing best practices, spreadsheets.

* Demonstrated capabilities with: SEMRush/MOZ/Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, BrightEdge/Conductor, other SEO keyword tracking tools, SEO crawling tools like ScreamingFrog/Botify/JetOctopus, etc., reporting building in tools like Google DataStudio (MS PowerBI, Domo, Tableau)

* Previous experience conducting full-scale SEO audits is necessary. The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. An ability to interpret a variety of instructions.

* Knowledge of: standards in database software, SQL, API keys and applications, Content Data Platforms (e.g. Segment), data warehouse architectures (e.g. bigquery)

* Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

* This position functions as an individual contributor; a working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* This position is subject to Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
