Application Window Open date: March 25, 2024 Most recent review date: Wednesday, Sep 25, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Mar 24, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Landscape Architecture & Environmental Planning (LAEP) at UC Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified lecturers to teach courses in the department's BA and Master of Landscape Architecture programs, should an opening arise. This includes the following areas such as (but not limited to): graduate and undergraduate design and planning studios, digital and analog landscape representation, applied environmental science, plant identification and use, landscape construction, landscape grading and drainage, history and theory of landscape architecture and environmental planning, and GIS. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from semester to semester (fall, spring, and summer), depending upon the needs of the Department. General Duties: In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), and using Cal's electronic resources for course management. Advanced degree or 3 years of relevant professional experience. For those who are not US citizens or permanent residents, a legal permit that allows work in the United States (such as a US visa that allows employment) is required by the start date of the position. The department is unable to provide a visa/work permit. Preferred qualifications
