Position Summary: The Manager of Volunteer Services sits on the Corporate Giving team and manages the recruitment, screening, coordination, and cultivation of corporate volunteer groups and events. In addition, the Manager is responsible for soliciting associated corporate gifts, managing and growing our young professionals' group, and overseeing the in-kind donation program.

Essential Duties:



  • Contribute to an annual giving raise of $1.2 million from corporate funders by personally soliciting a portfolio of approximately 50 prospects for corporate partnerships or corporate volunteer impact grants.
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate partners and work with the Associate Director of Corporate Giving to develop strategies for communication and stewardship.
  • Manage and expand corporate volunteer programs by approximately 10% from initial assessment of opportunities to post-event engagement.
  • Maintain responsibility for corporate volunteer engagement, including properly screening potential candidates, ensuring accurate documentation in relevant databases, and coordinating with other Development team members to maximize fund development.
  • Manage all billing and invoicing for volunteer services and corporate partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Children's Aid program sites to identify needs, both capital and programmatic, and develop and implement corresponding volunteer projects.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with supervisors on all potential and implementable opportunities, inclusive of fundraising objectives and requests.
  • Support direct supervisor on the Corporate Giving team in the execution of special programs and events.
  • Attend corporate volunteer events including events held during evening and weekend hours.
  • Liaise with program directors and staff to organize corporate volunteer events and outreach to thank post-visit and, as appropriate, obtain photographs and updates following corporate projects that can be shared via social media and/or with corporate partners.
  • Collaborate with the Children's Aid Marketing and Communications team to develop social media posts to highlight corporate volunteer events.
  • Research and recommend potential corporations to be cultivated for further volunteer or donor partnerships, including those having provided in-kind donations.
  • Solicit corporate portfolio for Children's Aid events, including the annual Benefit and Golf Classic.
  • Attend all fundraising events, including but not limited to the annual Benefit and Golf Classic, to steward and cultivate corporate donors and prospects.
  • Manage in-kind donations for the agency, including logistics for distribution, entry into Raiser's Edge, and follow-up with donors.
  • Track all corporate donor communication, meetings, and events in Raiser's Edge.
  • Maintain responsibility for business functions including ordering materials for volunteer events.
  • Manage and expand the newly formed young professionals' group that will create both a revenue stream and open the door to new corporate partnerships.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum three to five years' experience in related positions.
  • Experience in organizing and executing successful events.

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with Raiser's Edge or other database management systems.
  • Excellent writing and oral presentation skills.
