Clinical Prompt Engineer

As a Clinical Prompt Engineer you will be responsible for discovering new ways to make clinical documentation more efficient. You will bring your clinical experience and technical skills to bear as you work closely with both data scientists and the editors of MCG's Care Guidelines to evaluate AI models and ensure they have the information necessary to accurately complete tasks. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of technology on cross-functional team to reduce documentation burden.

Responsibilities



  • Experiment with breaking down clinical documentation tasks into smaller tasks an LLM can reliably complete
  • Develop strategies for using LLM's to reason over MCG Care Guidelines.
  • Become well-versed in MCG's care guidelines and the principles of their application
  • Serve as DS team expert on clinical matters and MCG Care Guidelines
  • Design and implement content and structured knowledge bases to aid LLM in completing tasks when necessary
  • Work with Data Scientists to rigorously evaluate various strategies of optimizing prompts and hyperparameters
  • Communicate interesting findings with regard to the LLM's use of content to the editors of MCG's Care Guidelines


Qualifications



  • Physician with 5 years of clinical experience or APP with at least 10 years of clinical experience
  • Basic proficiency in any programming language
  • Experience using command line tools and editing configuration files for applications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset


Preferred qualifications



  • Inpatient clinical experience
  • Experience working closely with engineers


  • Informatics certification


Anticipated Pay Range: $160,400.00 - $224,500.00
