Job Purpose

ICE Data Services, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, is a global leader in market data, analytics, and connectivity solutions. The purpose of this role is to support the Associate General Counsel in advising and supporting a wide range of legal matters across the global ICE Data Services business units with a special emphasis on (i) reviewing requirements in connection with applicable regulations as they relate to ICE Data Services (ii) reviewing documentation and ICE Data Services processes and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and (iii) drafting and negotiating various types of agreements.

This is a hands on role where you will be responsible for executing on a variety of work and working closely with the business and other attorneys in connection with applicable regulations as they relate to ICE Data Services as well as providing legal support to marketing, finance, and product development departments.

Responsibilities

  • Review requirements in connection with applicable regulations (with an emphasis on the Investment Advisers Act).
  • Assist in the preparation and review of external requests for information (DDQs RFIs and RFPs).
  • Perform legal review of marketing materials, advertisements, client communications and press releases.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of programs related to frameworks, regulation and pending regulation applicable to ICE Data Serivces.
  • Identify risk implications and provide legal advice in connection with business strategies and product plans.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate agreements with various levels of complexity.
  • Be an enthusiastic and professional member of the legal department.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree
  • 2+ years' experience but candidates with other applicable experience will be considered.
  • Experience working in-house on regulatory matters at a financial services or financial data/technology company would be viewed favorably.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • An ability to work across a broad range of product areas.
  • Ability to work independently and to adapt effectively in frequently changing working environments.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing projects and clients simultaneously and effectively and work in a fast-paced environment; ability to work global timeframes, and when the situation calls for it, willingness to work off hours.
  • Desire and ability to learn new and complex areas of law quickly.
  • Ability to give pragmatic, quality and timely ad hoc advice to all areas of the organization including to management and business heads; adding value in commercial and technical discussions.

New York Base Salary Range

The expected base salary for this role if located in New York City is between 133,900 - 175,100 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
