Responsibilities Summary: Outlines and implements Company, Corporate and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training programs about employee safety policies, procedures, accident protection and prevention. Develops and distributes educational materials, conducts training, inspects company facilities, and recommends corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations. Requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in occupational health and safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned. This position is a full time (minimum 40 hours per week) on-site position.
Handles all safety programs including annual audits to ensure requirements are being followed.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities Qualifications Qualifications: To perform this job optimally, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative, but not all inclusive, of the knowledge, skills and or abilities required. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field is required; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience is required. Experience must demonstrate occupational health, safety and/or environmental compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and standards and familiarity with methods, procedures and techniques used in collecting and testing samples such as dusts, fumes, vapors, noise, non-ionizing radiation, cold and heat stress, and biological agents.
