Reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor, the Line Tech/Machine Operator will use machine and equipment knowledge to ensure the continuous and effective operation of filling line equipment to ensure maximum operation and will provide operational line support in an operator capacity as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education, Credentials, Licenses:


  • High School diploma or GED or earning within a designated period of time following date of hire.
  • Position-specific vocational education/experience, training, or certification is preferred.
  • Bottling/Packaging/Filling machine operating experience preferred.


Kind & Length of Experience:


  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds
  • Frequently lift up to 40 lbs to work with equipment and product
  • Frequently performs repetitive reaching, grasping and lifting of product, materials and boxes weighing up to 40lbs
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Frequently required to understand and follow verbal communication
  • Frequently required to provide clear written communication
  • Wear personal safety equipment as required
  • Utilize cognitive abilities to effectively communicate with internal customers to understand requests
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
  • Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Frequently stand, walk, squat, stoop, or kneel, reach above the head, bend or twist the neck and trunk.


PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS


  • Ability to operate machine(s) at the FEOL and fulfil all competency requirements
  • Ability to perform changeover activities and meet established goals
  • Some troubleshooting and fault-finding ability required
  • Ability to effectively perform basic math computations to include subtraction, addition, multiplication, division, and other means as required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to track and code downtime properly
  • Effectively follow Quality Assurance procedures and documentation practices
  • Ability to document and report quality defects
  • Positively interact with co-workers in a manner that ensures good workflow and organization
  • Follow production schedule as required
  • Other duties as requested.
