Job Summary

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team

Required Qualifications


  • 2-3 years Adult Operating Room (OR) RN clinical experience
  • Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
  • RNFA Certification
  • Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
  • Proficiency in open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery
  • Proficiency in scrubbing surgical procedures
  • Proficiency in circulating duties
  • Experience in General Surgery, Ortho, Neuro, OHNS, GU, GYN, Breast/Plastics, Endoscopy
  • Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently and under pressure.
  • Basic computer skills and general PC knowledge.

  • BSN
  • CNOR Certification

License/Certification


  • Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
  • Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
  • Current RNFA
