The Associate Manager, Strategy & Business Planning supports the development of the Spirits portfolio roadmap to achieve the MHUSA 2030 strategy. This role works closely with the Director of Strategy & Business Planning to develop strategies and action plans for forecasting, planning, and pricing as well as identifying business growth opportunities. This role is the liaison between Brand, Finance, Commercial and Operations teams to accurately implement the marketing strategy.



Profile

Analysis & Presentations:



  • Lead in-depth monthly business reviews for 5+ brands in the MH Spirits organization providing clear insights, fact-based recommendations and data-driven action plans
  • Give to brand/portfolio strategy and solve critical business challenges by conducting quantitative business analysis covering a variety of topics including distribution, pricing, SKU performance, etc.
  • Develop Spirits analysis and reporting recapping sales/market trends, competition, and consumer behavior to help draw attention to issues and or opportunities related
  • Build frameworks, models and processes to streamline current ways of working [e.g. business reviews, pricing strategies, Key Performance Indicator tracking, new product innovations, allocations, etc]
  • Represent Spirits division in data & insights meetings and integrate research into brand strategy work
  • Support ad hoc requests and presentations for Director, Brand Teams, Maisons, Senior Leadership and internal counterparts


Finance & Operations Management:



  • Develop comprehensive understanding of each brand's business in the US: P&Ls, channel strategy, pricing value chain, etc.
  • Partner with Brand and Ops teams to plan inventory allocations based on strategic objectives
  • Ensure inventory levels are handled appropriately to improve profitability
  • Co-lead Supply & Operations meeting by bringing a clear understanding of forecasting and inventory management for each brand
  • Build positive relationships with Finance, Operations and Commercial teams in a matrix organization with the intention of representing the Brand strategy across all functions



Additional information

Education
Bachelor's degree required; Master's or MBA preferred.

Professional Experience
4-5 years of experience in business analysis, finance, business intelligence, or corporate strategy with a strong understanding of brand marketing, preferably in a luxury environment.

Practical/Technical Knowledge



  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills with the ability to communicate findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate clear recommendations to partners
  • Outstanding collaborator, who proactively partners across teams, and able to influence senior partners
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • High level of organization/project management capabilities with ability to work autonomously.
  • Comfortable with large datasets and learning internal database systems
  • Proven proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI a plus)
  • Solid time management skills and ability to work independently or within a large team.
