Job Summary:

Allstate Insurance company is hiring for a Data Analytics Consultant. This is a remote - homebased opportunity at the individual contributor level. Your responsibility is the day-to-day execution to help establish, build, monitor and analyze the key performance indicators and measurement framework designed to evaluate the success of agency distribution channel. Additionally, consultants will be responsible for breaking down business problems into structured analysis by assessing the requirements and/or business impact to arrive at recommended solutions in operational analytics. The consultant will provide an understanding of data to produce insights and actionable recommendations to in the form of analytic projects, striving to positively impact and influence operational efficiencies and business decisions.

There are times that this will be quite fast paced to meet deadlines and manage reporting and measurement requests to drive initiative goals. This is an opportunity that requires skill in excel, financial acumen, data analytics and storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supports the Agency Analytics team in providing direction and guidance to senior leadership based on critical inquiries or key insights and observations
  • Provides support on building, monitoring and analyzing the key performance indicators and measurement framework designed to evaluate the success of agency distribution channel
  • Provides support with operational reporting and analytics
  • Analyzes structured and unstructured data from a number of sources to identify drivers
  • Identifies data elements needed to support business objectives and improve programs
  • Provides general consultation during the development and implementation of innovative data and analytics solutions to support business unit objectives
  • Assists with stakeholder and project management across the performance measurement portfolio
  • Assists in developing analytics story and visual presentation strategies to ensure data is conveyed in meaningful and interpretive formats for all audience levels
  • Effectively communicates logic and technical processes supporting the analytic solutions

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree Preferred
* 0-2 years of related experience

Functional Skills:
  • General analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (ex. sum function, charts, sorting, filters)
  • Some experience in analysis software, data management and data warehouses (Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, Oracle, etc)
  • Basic understanding of agency channel, including recruiting, deployment, programs, incentives and overall agency performance
  • Ability to deliver on tasks in support of data driven recommendations to senior leadership
  • Ability to establish new partnerships with key stakeholders such as Finance and D3 and leaders across APLSD
  • Intermediate communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Foundational organization and project management skills

Compensation offered for this role is$54,000.00-$85,500.00 per yearand is based on experience and qualifications.
