What you'll do

Enhanced Services is responsible for products that provide traffic management, content delivery, data path network function virtualization, capacity optimization and load balancing, web acceleration, and management of our mobile terminals to ensure connectivity and Service Level Agreements are maintained while making efficient use of available capacity.


The day-to-day

As a Data Scientist/Analyst Intern, you will collaborate with our team to develop a satellite coverage evaluator service that assesses performance at each hour using sophisticated data science and machine learning methods.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Working with large datasets
  • Effectively manipulating structured and unstructured data, identify inconsistencies, and clean large amounts of data using software tools
  • Collaborating with multi-functional teams to develop production-ready data products

What you'll need

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics or related quantitative field
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience working with big data/visualization tools (Splunk, Grafana, etc.)
  • Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, linear algebra, and/or machine learning algorithms
  • Expertise in data wrangling, exploratory analysis, and/or feature engineering techniques
  • Ability to commit to a 10-12 week summer internship

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics or related quantitative field
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills
  • Outstanding problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Collaborative working approach that enables a multi-functional team distributed across multiple time zones
  • Prior proven experience or impactful research projects

Salary range

$21 - $66 / hourly

Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
