Parts Coordinator (Days)

Job Location: 4800 Houston, TX (NorthPoint)

Work days/Shift Hours - if applicable: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM / Monday - Friday.
Compensation: Starting at $17.82 - $23.38 / hour based on experience. Additional local incentives may apply such as an extra week of pay, referral bonuses and more.

General Purpose

Under little supervision, performs all task associated with parts room operations and supports maintenance as necessary. The Parts Coordinator may be required to perform additional responsibilities as required

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Actively participates as a self-directed and committed member of a team and working with other team members to achieve the department and plant goals and objectives
  • Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes or requirements
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws
  • Reviews and plans maintenance projects with the maintenance coordinator or supervisor to establish an action plan which will enable timely parts availability for project and other planned work completion.
  • Performs physical inventory and cycle counts
  • Supports Maintenance Excellence and reports necessary data in a timely manner.
  • Monitors parts usage and manage of any unexpected parts usage
  • Monitors parts, building and repair services spending to budget variances and reports status to maintenance manager
  • Maintains parts room housekeeping in accordance with GMP standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ensures that parts have proper description and location in Maximo data base ensuring that parts can be located quickly.
  • Ensures that parts are bar coded
  • Ensures that parts room support equipment is in working order IE: computers, printers, bar code scanners, and storage cabinets
  • Monitors and address root cause of any stack outagesa
Qualifications
  • Education: High Scholl Diploma or GED required with hands on or vocational school training
  • Minimum of five (5) years of parts room experience in a manufacturing environment (Food and Beverage preferred) or five (5) years of satisfactory work experience as a Mechanic I
  • Equipment Maintenance, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving history.
  • Knowledge of basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices in a manufacturing environmenta
  • Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA),and other regulatory requirement
  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA. Also CMMS and Maximo
  • SAP experience preferred
  • MS Word and Excel. Ability to read blueprints
  • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Incumbents in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, pushing and pulling, stooping and crouching climbing and walking, vision to monitor, occasional lifting of equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Incumbents will be trained in the handling of toxic materials, toxic gases, electrical hazards, and dangerous tools and equipment.
