Our Internship Program

Cboe interns work with a variety of staff across multiple departments and have the opportunity to put their skills to work in their field of interest, while learning about Exchange technology and operations through our robust Options Institute courses. The three main foundational pillars of our internship program are: develop, educate and network. We want to ensure each of our interns receive a real-world working experience that encourages academic, professional and personal growth. Candidates should be versatile, eager and able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive financial and technical environment. Our internship program runs from June to August.

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and organized Graphic Design Coordinator to join our small team of designers at Cboe. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to expand their skills in graphic design coordination and gain practical experience in a professional setting. The ideal candidate should be proficient in the Adobe Suite, possess strong organizational skills, and excel in communication and negotiation.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage design projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project expectations, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication between team members, clients, and stakeholders to gather project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns or feedback.
  • Collaborate with designers to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and maintain project schedules.
  • Provide soft pushback and engage in constructive debate to advocate for the integrity of design concepts and deliverables while balancing client expectations and project constraints.
  • Assist in quality assurance processes by conducting reviews and revisions to ensure that final deliverables meet project specifications and brand standards.
  • Support the design team with administrative tasks, such as file organization, asset management, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas, provide feedback, and negotiate project requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in respectful debate, provide constructive criticism, and advocate for design decisions.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and maintaining brand consistency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with graphic design coordination, project management, or internships in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
  • Interest in financial markets and investment products.
