Control Wiring Drafter

General information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Control Wiring Drafter for its Crystal Springs, MS location. In this role, you will be part of Control Design Engineering team reports to Team Lead - Transformer Control Design. The department is responsible to assure proper execution of the Transformer Control Wiring Design and Cabinet manufacturing design, in compliance with the industry standards and customer specifications.

The position requires the ability to create control wiring schematic and diagram, new control cabinet parts, different cabinet assemblies, and bills of material. The preferred candidate must be detail oriented and take ownership of control wiring projects. The successful candidate should be able to work independently on projects to troubleshoot technical issues with minimal supervision.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform regular control wiring design per customer specification/special control wiring instructions.
• Prepare bills of material and necessary documentation.
• Prepare various manufacturing drawings for assembly shop etc.
• Review control wiring drawings with Control Engineer/ Electrical Engineer before submitting for customer approval.
• Participate in customer design review meetings with Control Engineer.
• Prepare wiring checklists for the control wiring drafting designs.
• Prepare new part drawings, device nameplates, product specifications etc.

Your Background:

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• 2-5 years of experience in AutoCAD Electrical or 2D/3D modeling tool.
• Experience in mechanical or electrical control wiring drafting.
• Strong communications skill both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as work with other group or teams within the facility.
• Experience in the following tools is required: Microsoft Office (Excel, word, power point, etc.)
• Excellent computer skills are required.
