Location: Fort Liberty - Fayetteville, North Carolina

Type: Exempt, salaried

Bonus: Up to $5,000 in relocation assistance offered

Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 annually (Skookum's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday 7:30am - Friday 4:00pm (flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs)

As a Work Control Supervisor you'll... lead the site production effort and results for all work including both fixed price (maintenance) and IQ (projects). Leads and optimizes the end to end (E2E) work management including logistics and subcontractor integration, customer and DPW communications, asset data and PM integration, and full reporting and metrics. The Work Control Supervisor directs both the logistics team (inventory and purchasing), and production control clerks (work and asset management). As a member of the leadership team, is responsible for leading and supporting a high-performance safety system and safety culture.

  • At contract start, leads the standup of the core E2E work management process - configured and trained by the home office Reliability and Asset Mgmt (RAM) team. Post go-live, the Work Control Supervisor owns and leads incremental improvements to this process - working with all key stakeholders and supported by the RAM team. Work Control Supervisor understands all process aspects including shop and technician tasks centered around mobile applications. Meets key performance and contract objectives. Supports shift to Proactive Maintenance and Reliability best practices led by the Deputy Site Manager.
  • Working for the Deputy Site Manager, identifies and implements key improvements both planned projects from annual RAM plan and locally identified. Key player in the biweekly joint sessions. Works closely with Shop Lead technicians to optimize mobile functionality.
  • The Work Control Supervisor leads all information collection, transformation and distribution including contract deliverables, automated reports, and BI views/dashboards. At contract start, the core capability will be configured by the RAM team. The Work Control Supervisor will make incremental improvements leveraging both on-site and remote RAM team support. The Work Control Supervisor will be very knowledgeable on key asset, work and reliability data and continuously improve ways to convert this data into actionable information. Ensure key performance metrics are captured and displayed via BI. Meets key performance and contract objectives.
  • Working with Maintenance Supervisors, leads key improvements to increase shop efficiency and effectiveness such as work routing, planning, scheduling, purchasing, streamlined approvals, and online technical data lookup with goal of exceeding 40% wrench-time by end of year 3 (using workorder completion as a proxy). Planned improvements will be added incrementally and supported by the RAM team.
  • Working with shop and support team leaders, improves key processes such as purchasing, inventory, QC, Safety, project management, and reliability. Planned improvements will be added incrementally and supported by the RAM team.
  • Leads the Production Clerk team responsible for E2E work processing including integration with client systems leveraging both automation and manual entry. Working with shops and DPW, responsible for asset inventory, core data, and advanced data capture. This includes alignment of PMs, Job Plans, and inspections. Trains and mentors team. Meets key performance and contract objectives.
  • Leads the purchasing and inventory functions leveraging integrated processes enabled by Skookum Maximo and mobility extensions. Trains and mentors team. Meets key performance and contract objectives.
  • Leveraging Skookum Maximo, effective tracks all GFP including facilities, equipment, vehicles and materials. Ensures all required reporting and accountability is accomplished.
  • Leads and supports positive safety performance at Ft. Liberty through focused attention on systems and culture. Working knowledge of safety regulations and requirements for facilities maintenance activities. Inspires safety performance through their own safety behaviors and values.
  • Understands the full contract requirements and ensures requirements are aligned to the right site teams for day-to-day management.
  • Able to explain the "why" to employees and lead completion of key projects. Understands and leverage maintenance best practices and enabling technology.

  • In support of the Site Manager, ensures that required supervision of personnel is present during both regular and non-duty hours. Managing the duty rosters.
  • Shall be highly responsive to DPW leadership and contracting officer.
  • As delegated by the Site Manager, authorization to requisition supplies and materials and sign tasks orders for IJO (Individual Job Orders) within the Skookum approval tiers.
  • Travel to home office conferences, flagship sites, and outlying contract sites as needed.
  • Ensure professionalism in both appearance and demeanor for Site Team.

Summary of desired skills and experience for the Skookum Work Control Supervisor:

  • Associates Degree in General Studies or trade school equivalent preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years in previous maintenance management or similar field required
  • Combination of previous experience and education considered
  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum's insurance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
