Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Communicates and provides guidance on human resources services, initiatives, and programs to employees. Manages daily activities in general Human Resources activities with moderate supervision required. Assists in the development of human resources policies, programs and practices and is responsible for implementation and administration. Support organization's human resources operations with emphasis on policies and procedures.


Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Identifies HR policy issues that are a hindrance to hiring and/or retention efforts and notifies HR leadership to identify potential solutions. Maintains strong relationships with organizational leadership to ensure a clear understanding of direction of organizational needs.

* Handles all administrative tasks for onboarding, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.

* Provides advice, guidance and technical support to organizational departments. Anticipates needs based on market, recruitment, legislative, and legal trends. Investigates, evaluates and makes recommendations regarding HR issues. Proactively responds to requests in a timely manner. Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

* Obtains and analyzes market data to determine internal equity and market competitiveness. Works with department leadership regarding the creation of new positions and the evaluation of multiple positions in a job family.

* Organize annual employee performance reviews.

* Ensure compliance with labor regulations.

* Provide support on projects. Responsible for the development and maintenance of department policies and procedures.

* Perform administrative duties in a timely and accurate manner

* Represent the agency in a positive and professional manner. Promote the success and reputation of the agency/programs.

* Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred; a combination of education and experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.

EXPERIENCE: 3+ years human resources experience, 5+ years preferred. 1-2+ years HRIS experience and 2+ years' Paycom experienced preferred.

ATTENDANCE: This is an in-office role. Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion.

LICENSES: PHR certification or SHRM-CP certification preferred. Driver's License with clear record.

VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must be available and willing to work occasional weekends as required to meet business needs. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others.

EXCEPTIONS TO THESE CRITERIA MUST BE APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT HEAD.
