The Peoria Police Department is seeking highly motivated individuals, who are already certified, to work for the City of Peoria as full time Police Officers. Qualified applicants will be contacted on an individual basis to schedule appointments for the background investigation. Also, lateral, full-time Police officers have the ability to earn paid time off (up to 80 hours) based on previous experience in the same job function through our Award Leave program, if eligible.

  • License/Certification: Must be a current, certified Police Officer (In State or Out of State)
  • Physical: Heavy exertion of up to 100 pounds of force
  • Visual: Must have a visual acuity correctable to 20/40 or better
