The Ultra Finance function leads the budgeting and forecasting processes and supports the strategy process, as well as managing performance against budget.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description

  • Assist with financial statements to summarize and forecast the company's financial status.
  • Assist in managing the balance sheet accounts and analyze expenses.
  • Assists with management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization.
  • Assists with preparations for audits.
  • Works to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.
  • Ensures compliance with and prepare reports according to applicable government regulations.
  • Uses accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.
  • Delegates accounting tasks to junior accounting staff.
  • Coordinates with and prepares reports for upper management.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations and best practices including IFRS
  • Excellent understanding of governmental contract guidelines that affect the company.
  • Lead the internal and external audits.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in Project Cost Accounting and IFARS Standards
  • Strong MS Office skills with expert-level knowledge in financial reporting systems such as EPICOR or similar platforms
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • At least 10 years' experience in accounting
  • MBA, CPA or CMA preferred.
