As a Business Process Analyst, the primary responsibilities include researching and documenting existing processes, designing future state processes and workflows, developing and refining requirements, and supporting development and implementation of processes and tools in support of MCG's Digital Content Production Roadmap (DCPR). This position will apply technology and AI where possible to reduce or eliminate non-value add activities while enabling more agile production capabilities and ensuring MCG's high standards of quality continue to be met. This role will play an essential part of the team transforming the processes and tools through which MCG produces the clinical information that powers our solutions in the digital informatics age.

A successful candidate will have:



  • Previous experience in a business process analyst capacity supporting process improvement and/or future state transformative initiatives.
  • Excellent knowledge of automation principles as well as business and process documentation best practices.
  • Knowledge of publishing and or information curation and management processes.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to organize and prioritize.
  • Characteristics associated with being a team player and an inquisitive spirit.


Key working relationships with:



  • In this role you will engage frequently and work closely with the Senior Director of Content Production, Editorial team members, Clinical Informatics team members, Project Managers, Software Engineers, Clinical Analytics and 3rd party experts in support of the initiatives.


You will:



  • Facilitate meetings and observe processes and workflows with stakeholders and process actors to fully understand, document, and validate editorial and informatics teams processes, workflows, and tools.
  • Create, update, or maintain process documentation in support of the editorial and informatics teams current, interim, and future (DCPR) states.
  • Design, document, and propose future state processes, workflows, and tools to achieve MCG's goals related to generating the clinical information powering MCG solutions.
  • Use analysis and data to support each case for change, identifying success criteria and metrics to measure the results of planned changes.
  • Following changes, perform quantitative analysis and evaluation of success criteria, presenting results to key leadership on the effectiveness of changes and future opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop business and system requirements to support creation or modification of technology solutions supporting planned process and workflow changes.
  • Conduct/facilitate meetings with core business and process stakeholders to ensure alignment and endorsement of planned process changes.
  • Work closely with project leadership and stakeholders to develop training plans and materials in support of changes being implemented.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments.
  • Other projects or activities as assigned.


We are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field.
  • Have 5+ years of experience as a business process analyst or similar role.
  • Working knowledge of product management and development processes, methods, and techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Office 365 suite or software tools for documents, spreadsheets, presentations, collaboration platforms such as Slack or Teams, and knowledge management solutions like SharePoint or Confluence.
  • Experience with advanced applications to document data models and perform process mapping (i.e. Blueworks Live, Visio, etc.)
  • Preferred experience creating documentation for information publishing and/or information management data models and processes.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to build rapport with remote and office-based departments and employees.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with proven ability to communicate ideas and recommendations at all levels of the organization and across functional boundaries.
  • Exhibit strong problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrate an inquisitive nature and ability to perform research.
  • Able to work independently, be self-directed, and manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.


Pay Range: $74,450 - $104,230

Other compensation: Bonus Eligible
