Job Summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Senior Project Architect to join our growing Architectural Department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading the technical development of medium to large scale projects. This position includes the opportunity to get involved with a variety of project types, with a focus on the higher education, R&D, workplace and civic/municipal.
Primary Functions


  • Assist the Project Manager in developing project work plans and schedules.
  • Collaborate with the design team during programming and conceptual phases.
  • Lead the technical team in preparing design development and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with in-house engineers and outside consultants.
  • Develop architectural technical specifications.
  • Lead construction administration effort including observation, RFI and submittal review.
  • Serve as project manager on small to medium projects if required.
  • Assist with departmental duties such as updating technical standards and mentoring of junior architectural staff.


Minimum Physical Requirements
Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, visual acuity to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Desired Education

Master of Architecture or Bachelor of Architecture Degree from an accredited university.
Desired Skills/ Experience


  • 10+ years of experience, preferred.
  • Licensure preferred.
  • Experienced in developing projects using Revit.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and BSD Spec Link is a bonus.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
  • Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
  • Ability to work well with others under demanding deadline situations.
