ABOUT THE ROLE

The Production Supervisor-2nd Shift will provide leadership to the production staff and direct the daily activities required to ensure all production KPIs are met. Key roles include but are not limited to the following: confirming all safety and environmental initiatives are achieved, cGMP compliance is maintained, leading continuous improvement projects, OEE initiatives, OEE goals, delivering the production schedule, investigating and resolving production issues/deviations and contributing to the EPD process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guide employee compliance to all safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
  • Lead teams in meeting all cGMP and FDA quality standards.
  • Manage daily schedule adherence goals and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure process orders are available for the upcoming shift.
  • Drive OEE efficiencies, goals, process improvements along with operator participation.
  • Escalate all significant OEE issues to applicable management members.
  • Manage workforce to support the Compounding and Packaging activities.
  • Cooperate with other departments to ensure all teams are working together efficiently.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and maintain training records as applicable.
  • Monitor employee PTO requests to ensure proper staffing levels are achieved.
  • Lead problem-solving exercises and implement process improvements/changes.
  • Control and participate in the rework process for successful completion.
  • Conduct production record reviews and associated investigations in a timely manner.
  • Complete deviation investigations and associated documentation prior to due date.
  • Complete CAPA investigations and associated documentation prior to due date.
  • Ensure all payroll entries are completed and accurate prior to the payroll deadline.
  • Actively participate and follow-up in site audits.
  • Participate in the interview process and seek to hire suitable candidates.
  • Attend meetings as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Extended daily presence on the packaging lines and compounding area.
  • Coverage for PTO/absences of opposite shift Production Supervisor.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Five years minimum supervising people or serving in an equivalent team leadership role in a manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of all compounding activities and equipment
  • Working knowledge of all packaging activities and equipment
  • Knowledgeable of all compounding procedures such as cleaning/sanitization, segments, and quality checks
  • Knowledgeable of all packaging procedures such cleaning/sanitization, Line Start Up, Line Clearance and quality checks.
  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college is a plus.
