Are you driven by growth? Would you like an opportunity to showcase your production management skills by contributing to the success of a manufacturing company? BBSI is seeking a Production Manager for a growing food manufacturing company in the area.

SUMMARY:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth running of all aspects in production. Production Manager will lead, plan, organize, and direct all daily activities, including supervision of multiple Production Leads. The Production Manager will ensure that production meets health, sanitation, and quality standards set by the company, food industry, and government agencies. He or She will also coordinate shifts, arrange schedules, and monitoring employee performances.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • plan for production of goods, including coordination with vendors, warehouse, and shipping department
  • production of goods to fulfill daily orders (made-to-stock and made-to-order)
  • documentation of all daily batch records to Operations Manager and QC
  • manufacturing orders utilizing company's production planning software
  • with team leads and QC to ensure compliance with food safety practices
  • importance of Food Safety, SSOP's, Sanitation
  • plant in proper compliance with Third-Party Audits, Federal/State, Cal/OSHA regulations
  • consistent resources for supplies, raw materials, and ingredients from Shipping Dept.
  • employee schedules and ensures efficient employee rotation throughout the production facility to run at targeted throughput
  • team of employees on positions in production line, including cooking, mixing, packaging, labeling, weighing to fulfill orders
  • routine maintenance checks, schedules 3rd party mechanic repairs, and assist on machinery upkeep
  • the safety of all employees operating equipment through proper training, enforcement of safety rules
  • train team members in various functions and areas of the plant

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • years food manufacturing, packaging, or processing experience required.
  • in English/Spanish or Chinese a must
  • to manage multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • initiative and able to work as part of a team while communicating effectively.
  • organization and analytical skills. Knowledge of timecard systems and inventory systems
  • to work holidays and weekends (if necessary)
  • completion of a post-offer physical, drug screen and background check is required.
  • facility environment - Loud ambient equipment/machinery, operation of equipment/machinery

JOB TYPE: Full-time, Monday - Friday (6AM - 5PM, depending on shift) (weekends, as necessary)
