Welder

Do you have what it takes? Staffmark has partnered with a holistic engineering company in Houston, TX, seeking a talented Welder to join their team. We seek someone passionate about their craft and eager to grow in a supportive and inclusive environment. As a Welder, you will undertake various welding techniques for the fabrication of piping and structure and work collaboratively with experienced professionals dedicated to helping you succeed.

Pay: $26 per hour (Depending on experience)

Schedule: 1st shift, must be open to working over 70 hours a week including weekends. Must be able to work offshore once perm.

Essential Duties:

• Capable of welding using a range of techniques (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW as a minimum).
• Understanding WPSs and working to the set parameters.
• Assists fitters in setting up piping/structure according to engineering drawings.
• Ensuring high-quality welding is conducted on all fabrication work.
• Involved with daily morning toolbox meetings to ensure the day activities are clear and address any safety concerns/issues/topics.
• Involved in Offshore/Remote deployment work when needed.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience, must be able to pass 3G and 5G weld test, full understanding of SMAW, GTAW, FCAW
• Must have experience in MIG, Flux core, and TIG welding
• Experience in workshop and yard works
• Offshore experience beneficial
• Trade Qualified Welder - Certificate Essential
• Knowledge of filler metal requirements, working knowledge of setting necessary welding parameters, and knowledge of welding equipment.
