Texas Oncology is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Physicist located at the N. Austin, TX clinic at 12221 Renfert Way Austin, Texas 78758

Texas Oncology is seeking qualified candidates for an exciting Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist position. The successful candidate will be part of a physics group consisting of 13 physicists, 2 physics residents, a medical physics assistant, and 15 dosimetrists covering eight facilities in the Central Texas area. This group supports nine radiation oncologists in a busy practice setting.

With more than 600 physicians and over 220 sites of service Texas Oncology is a pioneer in community-based cancer treatment and is united in healing with US Oncology, one of the country's foremost cancer treatment and research networks. Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include.

  • All aspects of radiation oncology physics,
  • Quality assurance
  • Clinical duties
  • Acceptance testing and commissioning.


Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have

  • MS or PhD in Medical Physics
  • Graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency, and board eligibility by the ABR.
  • The position requires temporary (and eventually full) licensure in the state of Texas.
