Responsibilities
In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in a patient's journey by:
- Perform diagnostic PET imaging procedures and related functions to include injection of radio- pharmaceutical and/or IV contrast, the administration of oral contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, reconstruction and filming of images, network image transfers, and archiving of image data.
- Assist in procedure scheduling and related front office functions to ensure smooth workflow and development of teaching and educational information.
- Provide protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Conducts daily quality control measures to monitor scanner performance.
- Responsible for patient data and films including printing, archiving, retrieval, network data transfers, tracking and logging of loaned films and requested outside films.
- Application and understanding of the contraindications associated with the administration of IV contrast; recognizing adverse reactions and proper protocols to follow in the event of an adverse reaction.
- Provide protection for patients and staff in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Conduct daily quality control measures to monitor scanner performance and take appropriate action if indicated.
- Maintain confidentiality of all protected health information for patients and staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates or bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology from an American Medical Association accredited program and PET/CT certification.
- Minimum three (3) + years of experience in nuclear medicine.
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Nuclear certification and state licensure where applicable.
- Knowledge and experience with patient scheduling and billing systems.

- Previous PET experience preferred.
The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. Masks may be requested in all Arizona Oncology facilities regardless of vaccination status. COVID vaccination is recommended.
