Georgia Tech's Institute for Electronics and Nanotechnology (IEN) and Institute for Materials (IMat) are seeking a Marketing & Event Coordinator II. IEN and IMat are two Interdisciplinary Research Institutes that are merging to create a new organization on July 1, 2024. The Marketing & Event Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for departmental events, especially those supporting our research centers, programs, and initiatives. The role will also support our departmental marketing & communications efforts. This position will collaborate with a variety of teams and research groups to support exciting initiatives. Job Summary
Provide primary support to a unit's marketing efforts through development of communications materials and planning and conducting marketing related events. Marketing efforts are normally directed towards promoting attendance at unit sponsored events (e.g. workshops, symposium, course offerings, etc.) and other programs or services offered by the unit. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit faculty and staff, students, guests and event attendees, facilities staff and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: unit marketing management, students and event attendees. This position will supervise: NA. Responsibilities
