Brand Assistant

The Role:

The John Frieda Brand Assistant will be involved in P&L Management, Business Analysis, Mktg Planning & Execution, Trade Marketing, along with Direct Consumer Marketing. Individuals in this role will need to demonstrate at various levels, the knowledge & ability to plan & administer a budget; knowledge of activities, tasks, practices & deliverables for assessing & documenting business opps, benefits, risks, & success factors of potential projects; understanding brand implications of category and retailer dynamics; partnering with Trade and Sales functions to manage customer strategy and brand sell-in.

What you will do:



  • Aware of need for and requirements of budgeting and P&L for marketing plans, Understands the P&L process and associated reporting requirements, Aware of necessary input and cycle for brand budgeting, General understanding of major budget items in marketing plan.
  • Experienced with specific methods and tools for assessing and analyzing information, Familiar with policies and practices for assessing application (project) opportunities, Can describe activities, tasks and deliverables of business assessment, Has participated in the preparation of risk assessment and benefits/opportunities analysis.
  • Can describe principles and considerations for market and competitor analysis, Is familiar with locally relevant marketing plan and strategies, and their purpose and intent, Can identify marketing support tools and vehicles, Is familiar with company specific practices for developing a marketing plan, Can discuss alternative digital marketing approaches and associated tools and techniques.
  • Understand key channels in market, Understanding of how retailers view various product categories, Basic knowledge of key metrics that retailers use to evaluate item performance.
  • Understand the role of social branded content creation, creator content and UGC in planning to drive awareness and conversion


What you will need:



  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA Preferred.
  • 2+ years of marketing experience.
  • Quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage time and resources efficiently.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and a strategic outlook are required.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to build a business case to identify a path forward for growth.



A reasonable pay range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000
