Intern - Data Center (Charlotte, NC)

Location: Charlotte, NC

Summer Internship Timeframe: June 2024 - August 2024

Pay: $20.00/ per hour

This Data Center Internship will provide internal and external customer service while seeing issues through to resolution by monitoring, acknowledging, working and escalating tickets. The opportunity will also focus on assisting with data center migration activities.

Specific degree or skill requirements/prerequisites:

Majors: Pursuing a technology related degree

Preferred Experience: Strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple requests is crucial. Previous cabling experience (Copper/Coax/Fiber) a plus. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Other duties include:

* Install, rack, and cable server and network equipment, adhering to written standards

* Extend, terminate, and test cables

* Provide remote hands and eyes support for internal and customer issues

* Monitor video surveillance

* Perform security walkthroughs across campus

* Perform customer and vendor escorts as needed

* Provide written shift reports
