Basic Function and Responsibility: Under general direction, the Associate CIO is responsible with performing complex technical work and assisting in the planning, organizing, implementing, administering and directing the Information Technology department; preparing strategic multi-year plans; organizing personnel assignments; coordinating and managing IT Technology projects, and overseeing software related operations while primarily focused on end-to-end solutions that improve customer experience. As the Associate CIO, the incumbent is responsible with managing and overseeing the integration of major departmental functions, including but not limited to customer support, support of major platforms and vendor management. Generates complex reports and makes recommendations; acts as department head in the absence of the CIO; prepares and monitors budgets; directs and conducts special research projects and performs complex analysis. Supervision Received: General direction is received from the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Supervision Exercised: Administrative supervision is exercised over the nine (9) professional IT staff including Senior Business Analysts (5), Manager Database Administration, Manager of Applications Software and Senior Business Analyst/Software Specialist. Salary Range is $140,000 to $150,000 Based on the needs of the college and with Administrator approval, some positions at the college may have hybrid schedule options available after 30 working days. Oakton is accessible by public transportation.
