Your responsibilities The Director of Procurement is responsible for developing a strategic approach to the corporate sourcing and supplier management processes for the purchase of direct and indirect goods and services. In this leadership role, the successful candidate will direct the sourcing of goods and services for BILSTEIN of America (BiA), ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of BiA's purchasing and supplier management processes, ensure material savings targets are met through commercial negotiations and design efficiency improvements, maintain and adjust purchasing guidelines as needed, manage departmental budgets, oversee the entire purchasing process for the BiA, and oversee the supplier development organization. Furthermore, this position works with suppliers to ensure that the procurement process is efficient and that suppliers are achieving cost, quality, and delivery targets. Simultaneously, it involves working closely with different department heads to ensure that all supplies, machinery, and services needed for BiA's operations are sourced on time and at the lowest possible cost.
