This uniquely fulfilling role is a caregiver who provides patients in need of supervision with companionship and care by providing observational support for patients that need eyes on support, as well as, support to patients through hands-off direct, one on one engagement.

CNA Companions position themselves in their assigned patient's room to maintain constant visual observation of the patient. If the patient has any worries or concerns about how they're feeling, or if their symptoms are worsening, CNA Companions listen to these problems and relay them to the appropriate nurse so that further action can be taken if necessary. The role provides care in a manner that soothes patients, observes for changes in their condition, and summons nursing staff where necessary. Additionally, we have a full-time Nurse Educator on-site for additional support and further learning opportunities for all of our staff focused on behavioral health issues and diagnosis. As many of our learning opportunities are online courses, basic computer skills are needed.
