The Research Dietitian II is a part-time (0.25 FTE) position that coordinates research and administrative activities in support of nutrition research projects in Public Health Sciences. This individual works under the direction of the study Investigator, referring study issues and soliciting guidance as necessary. Special skills and knowledge regarding nutrition are necessary and will be applied to moderately complex research assignments.



Responsibilities

    Schedule, organize, and conduct nutrition intervention sessions.
  • Deliver group and/or individualized dietary instruction in support of the study protocol.
  • Maintain open communication with investigators and research coordinators to support implementation of the study protocol
  • Collaborate with investigators and other research dietitians to develop and implement strategies to increase participant compliance and improve data quality.
  • Monitor and track participant progress with nutrition intervention.
  • Provide participant status updates at study meetings and collaborate to resolve issues according to investigator guidelines.
  • Perform data entry of study forms related to the nutrition intervention in REDCap.
  • Assist in the preparation of manuscripts as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered dietitian and master's degree in nutrition or the equivalent.
  • Experience with coordination of nutrition studies in a research setting.
  • Experience in implementing diet or physical activity modification protocols to elicit weight loss
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to form respectful, productive working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Some experience in nutrition counseling and behavior change theory preferred.
  • Some experience with data entry in REDCap.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Solutions-oriented and a creative problem solver.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $33.40 to $50.09, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
